Racines thanks very much all the guests, speakers, artists, trainers, volunteers, regional partners, Souss Massa associations, technicians, interpreters, security agents and all those who contributed to the success of this edition. Within the trans-making project, Mehdi Azdem (Racines' general director) and Rajae Hammadi (Racines' communication manager) participated to the meeting organized by the turkish partner AmberPlateform from october 18th to 20th in Istanbul, Turkey, on the theme “Public in the Making“.
Led by Relais Culture Europe and funded by Horizon 2020 programme, the project is formed by twenty partners from Europe, Africa and America and aims to strengthen research capabilities through the exchange of knowledge and experience between academic and non-academic people.
Rajaa Essaghyry and Quitterie Berchon, two members of Racines' team, took part in the 8th edition of the Forum jeunesse, initiated and supported by the French Institute of Tunisia and organised by the Shanti association. The Forum took place from 12 to 14th of October 2018 in Tabaraka, Tunisia on the topic: "Culture and territorial attractivity: a potential of economic development for the youth", and especially on the North-West region of Tunisia.
For the seventh edition of the Dancing on the Edge Festival, to take place in November 2019, we are looking for contemporary dance and theater performances as well as multimedia and performance installations / films / art works / artistic research.

The Roberto Cimetta Fund re-opens the General Fund for Artistic and Cultural Mobility in the Euro-Arab-Middle East region on 1st October 2018. Artists and cultural operators living and working in Europe, the Arab world and the Middle East (including Turkey, the Balkans and Persian speaking countries) can apply. This call will focus on artists and cultural operators traveling to or from Persian speaking countries (Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan).
The General Fund will be open to all requests for travel grants that respect the eligibility criteria of RCF. Candidates can apply from 1st to 31st October 2018.
The next KAHWA Meeting, co-organized by Circostrada and Racines, will take place on November 8, 2018, in Tiznit, within the framework of third edition of the General Assembly for Culture in Morocco. This second KAHWA meeting takes place in the context of a cycle of annual meetings initiated by Circostrada – European Network for Circus and Street Arts – with the aim of strengthening, nurturing and developing professional and artistic collaborations between Europe and the countries of the Southern Mediterranean Area.
Racines congratulates its friend and partner, Pr. Serhan Ada, director of the Research centre on cultural policy and management, departement of the arts and cultural management at the Bilgi University (Istanbul, Turkey), as well as his team, for the establishment of the UNESCO Chair in Cultural Policy and Cultural Diplomacy. Racines was represented by Dounia Benslimane, head of partnership and development, at the opening ceremony, that was held on September, 21, 2018 at the university, with the participation of its president, professors, PhD students and international guests.

The call for artists of the 13th Arte Laguna Prize has officially opened. Arte Laguna Prize is an international art contest that has been promoting contemporary art for thirteen years, collecting thousands of applications from artists from all over the world, selected by a jury of excellence for the great exhibition in March in the evocative spaces of the Arsenale of Venice. In addition, the participants have the chance to win several awards in collaboration with companies, foundations, galleries, including cash prizes.
